Cleaning & Maintenance Tips

Beautiful window treatments stay beautiful with a little regular care. The good news: most maintenance is quick and easy.

For dust, a weekly pass with a microfiber duster or your vacuum's soft brush attachment is all most shades need. Work top to bottom so dust falls onto uncleaned areas.

For fingerprints or marks, spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid soaking the fabric — excess water can leave marks or affect the backing. Always test a hidden area first.

Roman and drapery fabrics may benefit from occasional professional dry cleaning to keep their shape and color.

For motorized shades, keep the battery charged (most last 6–12 months per charge) and avoid pulling them manually, which can strain the motor.

Avoid harsh chemicals, especially on solar and blackout fabrics with special coatings. A gentle touch goes a long way.

With consistent light care, quality window treatments will look fresh and function smoothly for many years.
